How do you clean a factory 1911 mag?
I have a 9mm Springfield 1911 and the 2 mags that came with it have become quite dirty. So dirty that they are causing ammo not to feed properly. This is because I have been using blaser brass lately and its extremely dirty. I think I have seen a video of a guy who had one of these welded factory mags taken apart but the video didn't show how he did it.
Answer:
Depress the magazine follower and then insert a pin (or anything that fits, really) through one of the magazine witness holes to keep the spring down. Hold the mag upside down and the follower should jiggle right out.
