Frequently Asked Questions...
How do you free a jammed seatbelt in a 2008 Honda Accord?
Frontseat shoulder belt was mistakenedly fastened to rear seat buckle. It will not release. Went to the dealer, they cannot free it, said this could cost as much as $700 to replace.
Answer:
Dealer is wrong. It should be free of charge. I had the belts replaced on my Civic for free 3 years ago and it is a 93. Call Honda USA directly or send them an Email describing your problem and see what they think. Also it should be covered under warranty, But your first course of action would be contact Honda 1-800-999-1009 That is there USA headquarters. Also the seatbelts and all applicable hardware are covered with a litmited lifetime warranty. You need to go back to the dealer and have them call there Honda rep, and ask him what he thinks. According to the phone call I just made to Honda they should replace it for free, because of the limited lifetime warranty and also the cars 3/36K warranty also.
