Well,......
1. She isn't funny and she thinks she is.
2. Studio got tired of hiring no-talent-ass-clowns like her, so they cancelled the show altogether instead of trying to find more comedians that represented what MadTv stood for, instead of useless parodies of modern culture and non-comical musical numbers, mostly contributed by the cast members that I'm referring to - Nicole Parker, i.e.
and wondered if there was any truth to it...i personally watched it FOR nicole but yeah. why did it get canceled
Answer:
1. It was up against Saturday Night Live. Despite SNL's ups and downs, its ratings were far better than Mad TV's were.
2. No-name cast. I agree...I liked Nicole Parker. Crista Flanagan was very talented. Sadly, that was about it. Frank Caliendo wasn't there anymore. Michael McDonald and Stephanie Weir, two of the longest-tenured cast members left the show. That left Parker, Flanagan, Bobby Lee, and Keegan Michael Key. Not much to go with there. I wasn't that much of a fan of the new cast and the last season was well below par, by Mad TV standards.
3. It had a good run. 10+ years is very good for late-night television, and perhaps the writers figured that Mad TV had run its course.
