Do It Yourself Halloween Costumes
Clothes made at home lean to come off as cheap. That's not necessarily the case. You could be a perfect example. Be as talented as you can be with homemade outfits. Making do with materials found around the house or from thrift shops may trigger one's talented juices. Getting your hands into your old garments could be quite interesting. Already knowing what look you want is a good start but sometimes concepts for costumes spring out from what materials you have at hand. It will be easy to make a flowing black or grey silk robe. That robe will fit an old witch in a broomstick sailing across the sky fine with the toothless scowl, tangled tresses, and pointed shoes and hat. To add to the look, you can always stick disks all over the piece or you may paint some swirls on. Nothing would complement the broomstick or the hat, for that matter, than a red rose made of sparkiling glitters. A fairy would certainly be an effective foil against a wicked witch. For a made at home fairy outfit, the key piece would have to be a flowy gown in a light pastel color.
