Why Current Carrying Capacity of BARE conductors (BUSBAR) are less than PAINTED conductors (BUSBAR)?
This is something that I can't really figure out.
when we have the copper busbar painted, I reckon it is more insulated and can't have heat exchange as good as in bare busbar can. one thing I think could be the reason is the mutual magnetic field that can cause power loss but nothing else I can find to be the reason. I heard once that the paint is of a special material that can exchange heat via changing it to a light (invisible) that makes the conductor cold much quicker. that sounds far fetched sort of.
please advise.
