Oscar Wilde advocated and patronized an assortment of artistic movements, methods and styles. He deeply regarded the practice of art as an end unto itself. He felt that assessing art by ethical or standards was a misguided notion. He quickly became a polemical and substantial literary presence and remained so during his brief life. Oscar Wilde opted to create drawings to illustrate a tale, which was exotic, kinky, and wicked, especially for the time period. In our last home, I had the entire interior painted in three shades of sage. Everything was cherry wood with black granite countertops in the kitchen and black, soft yellows, purples and green accents throughout. The sages really made everything pop. Going to do the same in our new home. The sage colors I chose were through the Martha Stewart Collection for Sherwin Williams.
